Founded in 1973 by former members of Inner Circle, Third World established itself as a major figure in reggae, renowned for its outstanding live performances and close ties to Bob Marley.

Following the historic success of the album 96 Degrees in the Shade (1977), the group achieved international stardom by blending reggae with soul and R&B, driven by hits such as "Now That We've Found Love" and "Try Jah Love" (composed by Stevie Wonder).

Despite their evolving sound and the passing of their iconic lead singer Bunny Rugs in 2014, the band has remained highly active on the global stage, collaborating with new generations of artists throughout the 2000s.
